Companies partner to develop AI-powered respiratory databases

Ai Data

Century Health, a company that specializes in applying artificial intelligence (AI) to clinical data, is partnering with Nimbus Health, a technology-driven pulmonary care provider, to develop high-quality, real-world datasets for serious respiratory diseases.

In a joint news release, the companies said the initial focus of the project will be on COPD and asthma, with the potential to expand into other areas as the partnership progresses.

Through the collaboration, Century Health’s AI-driven data platform will integrate with Nimbus Health’s electronic health record (EHR) system to curate and enrich clinical registries. The datasets generated could help enable insights into relationships between patient profiles, disease progression and patient outcomes.

CEO of Nimbus Health Clay Spence said the partnership will open new avenues of research into COPD and asthma.

“We serve tens of thousands of pulmonary patients per year with a range of therapies and technologic modalities,” Spence said. “We’re excited to make our unique dataset available to pharmaceutical researchers.”

Vish Srivastava, co-founder and CEO of Century Health, said the partnership will leverage Century Health’s AI-powered data platform to transform de-identified clinical data from Nimbus Health’s network into rich, continuously refreshed, research-ready categories.

“Generating real-world evidence in respiratory diseases has been limited by fragmented, hard-to-access data,” Srivastava said. “The combination of Century Health’s AI capabilities and Nimbus Health’s clinical expertise in pulmonary care creates an unprecedented opportunity to understand disease progression and treatment in real-world settings.”
