A new partnership between an AI-powered administrator of employer health plans and a digital health company aims to expand virtual care options for patients with conditions like COPD.
Marpai is partnering with Boston-based NuvoAir to offer virtual care for heart and lung conditions, with a focus on asthma, COPD and chronic heart failure.
Marpai is adding NuvoAir to Marpai Connect, its network of clinical care partners focused on preventing, mitigating and reversing prevalent, high-cost conditions. Marpai CEO Edmundo Gonzalez said the partnership will provide more treatment options for patients on employer health plans.
“With NuvoAir, members and their families can readily access care that can dramatically improve their health and quality of life and avoid high-cost emergency room visits and hospitalizations,” he said.
NuvoAir members have access to same-day appointments and a team of specialists, including care coordinators, respiratory therapists, health coaches, nurses, pulmonologists and cardiologists.
NuvoAir currently supports individuals in 15 states, with plans to expand in the coming year.
