Approximately 25 million Americans, including 4 million children, have asthma, according to the CDC. Now, the new mobile app AsthmaGo is redefining the way in which people manage their asthma and other respiratory conditions. Developed by CMI Health, Inc., AsthmaGo makes it easy to monitor and manage the condition and improve their quality of life, all from the touch of a screen.
AsthmaGo, which debuted during the 2023 American Thoracic Society (ATS) annual meeting in Washington, DC, uses trend graphs to monitor lung performance, asthma symptoms, treatment and air quality. In particular, AsthmaGo combines CMI Health’s digital spirometer technology, SpiroLink, with smart oximeters to gather accurate and convenient information about lung performance and oxygen saturation levels. This includes real-time oxygen saturation and pulse rate monitoring so that users remain in the know. The app also allows users to take the Asthma Control Test (ACT) to periodically evaluate their condition. AsthmaGo allows people to share their personal data with their physicians and caregivers.
"AsthmaGo becomes very handy when caring for asthmatic kids as parents," said JC Ren, CMI Health, Inc.'s chief operations officer. "You can take measurements at home and manage data with a smartphone. Or even monitor during the night with our OxyKnight Watch for peace of mind."
CMI Health, Inc. provides FDA-approved patient monitoring devices and cloud-based solutions for medical professionals in health care facilities and consumers at home.
AsthmaGo is available for download on the App Store and Google Play. For more information about AsthmaGo or to purchase AsthmaGo compatible devices, visit www.cmihealth.com.
